Carved offers new surprises and enhanced experiences for visitors of all ages at Descanso Gardens. “We are thrilled to welcome everyone back to Descanso Gardens for Carved and Enchanted,” said Chief Executive Officer Juliann Rooke. “These events have become treasured traditions, and this year, we’ve gone above and beyond to introduce new features that will make the experience even more magical. We look forward to seeing you and your loved ones create unforgettable memories in our beautifully illuminated gardens.” 

Step into the spooky fun world of Carved to walk along a paved and nature path filled with pumpkins, Jack-o’-Lanterns, music, lights and autumn themed activations.

New this year, the model trains of the Descanso Railroad will be aglow with special lighting, and visitors will encounter a whimsical family of wood spirits, carved by Chainsaw Jenna from five massive logs, adding a playful touch to the event. 

Watch professional artists carve intricate giant Jack-o’-Lanterns, and wander and spin around the stunning “Rhizome” installation by artists Tom and Lien Dekyvere.
