Knott’s Berry Farm’s 10th Boysenberry Festival

This year’s there are over 80 sweet and savory boysenberry tasting and beverage items at Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival. It’s a foodie’s dream from March 28 through April 27 in Buena Park.

This year’s Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival is a little sweeter, marking its 10th anniversary of celebrating the famous berry. A fun fact about the little purple boysenberry is that it put Knott’s Berry Farm on the map in 1932. Walter Knott discovered a hybrid berry by Rudolph Boysen that was a cross between a blackberry, red raspberry, and loganberry. He named the berry after Boysen, and began cultivating and selling them at his farm stand.

Besides a boysenberry menu, there is a new line-up of shows, a pie-eating contest, live music, and 10th anniversary merchandise in purple boysenberry colors.
