Ocean Prime Mother’s Day – The Beverly Hills restaurant Ocean Prime will serve Sunday brunch in honor of mom on Sunday, May 14. Blood orange mimosas are made with fresh blood orange juice, simple syrup, Cointreau and champagne. Mom will also enjoy signature bloody Marys made with a choice of vodka, housemade mix and a jumbo shrimp as a garnish. Starters include smoked salmon and bagels and blackened salmon salad topped with strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, goat cheese, field greens, basil poppy seed dressing and a sprinkling of candied walnuts. Brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes Capitol oysters and pearls, jumbo green asparagus with poached farm egg, and buttermilk fried quail with grits, apricot and sauce Albufera. Greek yogurt panna cotta with a berry compote and granola, and mango boba are available. The three-course prix-fixe dinner is $65 per person. Executive chef Viet Pham offers an inventive, California fresh menu on Sunday, May 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a Mother’s Day dinner menu from 4 to 7 p.m. Enjoy smoked salmon with everything bagel garnish, crème fraiche, radish, candy striped beets, dill and caper berries. Pham’s corn beef hash is served with crispy potatoes, piquillo peppers, caramelized onion, arugula and horseradish, and topped with 62-degree eggs. Hollywood’s hilltop restaurant Yamashiro is launching a new Sunday brunch buffet on Mother’s Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Moms will receive a complimentary glass of Champagne. The iconic restaurant, which previously only opened for dinner, will continue brunch service every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Brunch buffet service features multiple themed stations with crab legs, shrimp cocktail, oysters, prime rib, chicken and waffles, omelets and build-your-own salads. A bread and Danish table, and yogurt and fruit bar, are also available. Mother’s Day hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday after Mother’s Day. 1999 N.
