Candytopia is OPEN in Santa Monica

Santa Monica Place is better than ever, now that Candytopia opened near Bloomingdales. Attendees can nibble their way through a dozen different unique rooms as they explore an imaginative confectionary wonderland.  Each room offers a large container of candy to sample as you admire larger-than-life art installations, colossal candy creations and discover candy facts.IMG_8978This creative Sabine sensation below contains 14 different types of candy. It’s made with 600 pieces of candy. That’s about 238 grams of sugar and 715 calories.IMG_8991This wonderful Prince piece is made with 1.5k pieces of mini pastel jawbreakers, white grapefruit, grape twizzlers, purple licorice pastels, peach penguins, champagne bubbles and dextrose flowers.IMG_9002Lady Liberty contains 10 different types of candy and almost 5000 calories.IMG_9004Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) “Pure Imagination” was lovingly made with 7,900 candies that include mini Smarties, peachy hearts, roots beer licorice and jelly beans.IMG_9006Red gummy bears, silver sprinkles, white mini jawbreakers, champagne bubbles, black lace, gold sprinkles and yellow licorice flower shooters make this Candy Warhol.IMG_9008In one room guests feel as if they are under the sea standing next to candy sharks, a manta ray and hammerhead shark.IMG_9019Another room has whimsical flying pigs and a unicorn. Before the end of the experience, jump into a marshmallow tsunami pit with your friends as a shower of foam marshmallows rain down on you.IMG_9035Tasty samples and fun photo opportunities are throughout the experience. Tickets are now available for the immersive candy factory pop-up.IMG_9029 They must be purchased in advance – $30 per person, $23 for children 4 to 12 years old, and free for children under 3.
