Each year on March 14 in National Pi Day. Here are some fun facts and some great spots offering pie deals.

  3.  March 14 is also Einstein’s birthday. He was born in Germany in 1879.

  5. In 2009 the US government recognized March 14 as National Pi Day
    Pi, or π, is defined as the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. It’s an irrational number, meaning it cannot be written as a simple fraction.
  6. The first organized Pi Day was in 1988 at the San Francisco Exploratorium. Physicist Larry Shaw had the idea to celebrate the day  and then eating some pies.IMG_9720.JPG
