Now locals and visitors in West Hollywood can travel for free every Friday and Saturday night, while cruising up and down the Sunset Strip and Santa Monica Blvd. Riders can hop on and hop off on the new Sunset Trip bold black trolleys. The music playlist offers classic rock n’ roll that helped make the Sunset Strip a destination. Three trolley’s will operate on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Be sure to join the debut ride on Saturday, June 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. The fun begins at 1OAK, located at 9039 W. Sunset Blvd. Attendance is free and open to the public.
The Westbound route travels to 12 stops from Fairfax and Fountain to Melrose and Robertson. The Eastbound route connects to the Santa Monica trolley – The Pick Up. The two stops are at San Vicente/Santa Monica and San Vicente/Santa Monica. The Pick Up dims its lights and has a live DJ onboard. This route travels along Santa Monica Boulevard between Robertson Boulevard and La Brea Avenue on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. and on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Both The Pick Up and The Sunset Trip are a fun pub crawl alternative, stopping and picking up at some of the most popular establishments in West Hollywood. Don’t worry about expensive valets, finding parking or driving after having one too many.
Trolley Stops include steps away from Hyde Sunset, Pink Taco, Chateau Marmount, The Standard, Comedy Store, Sunset Tower, The Jeremy, Chin Chin, Obica, State Social House, Estrella, Whiskey A Go-Go, The Viper Room, Roxy, 1OAK, Rainbow Room, Craigs, Gracia Madre, Sur, Cecconi’s and Catch LA.
