It’s never too late to learn how to ski, especially at Mountain High ski resort in Southern California, where they have tailored a program designed for skiers and snowboarders of all ages.
Adults and children ages 13+ can purchase a three-visit lesson package. Start as a “never skier” to a recreational skier or snowboarder. This special includes ski or snowboard rental equipment, and three different day – one hour and 45 minute lessons at either 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Skiers will improve one ability level each day.
For those ages 50 and older the Senior STARS Clinic is a special on Wednesdays for all skill levels. Learn new movement patterns associated with the newer shaped skis or improve old skiing or snowboard techniques.
First time STARS skiers should check in before 9 a.m., to attend a thirty minute indoor clinic, before the start of on-mountain training from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
Clinics are conducted by senior certified instructors and participants will learn a few new skills, make some new acquaintances, build confidence on the slopes, and develop a new appreciation for winter sports at Mountain High.
This special is every Wednesday now through March, 2020. Mention Senior STARS Clinic at the ticket window before 9:30 a.m., and pay $30. Skiers receive a reusable Quick E-Ticket or a Season Pass which can be used for all future STARS Clinics. To purchase online and skip the ticket lines, click here and complete the form.
Families love Yeti’s Snow Parks open 7 days a week to play in the snow, slide down a tube, go sledding, snow-shoeing and ride a scenic sky chair up to the top of the mountain for sensational views, without having to ski down. Tickets are sold first-come, first-served at the ticket windows and guests can’t purchase tickets in advance.
College Night is every Friday night starting at 5 p.m. Show your college ID and ski for just $30. Meet students from all over Southern California for a fun party with a DJ in the snow.
Warm up with a hot beverage, while sitting next to the fireplace at the Bullwheel Grill, open until 7 p.m., or play a game of supersized Jenga at the Foggy Goggle that stays open until 9 p.m.
