Top of the V Dinner in Anaheim

Foodies visiting or staying overnight in Anaheim are flocking to the VIV Hotel a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Up on the top floor 12th floor, the elevator opens to one of Anaheim’s finest dining venues, Top of the V. Tables near the floor to ceiling glass windows offer spectacular panoramic vistas of Southern California and Disneyland. Stay until 9:30 for Disneyland’s stunning firework show.

There is an air of sophistication in the design of this restaurant’s interior dining room. Near the bar are lounge tables for guest to snuggle closer to read the innovative menu together. Guests who enjoy Basque Country fare will appreciate the Spanish dishes infused with Southern California ingredients. Grilled seafood, duck, steaks and vegetables dishes pair nicely with creative mocktails, cocktails and a variety of International wines.

There is an air of excitement as diners share grilled protein and vegetable Pintxos around the table. Some order Toy Box Squash, Charred Cabbage and crispy Patatas Bravas enhanced with aioli and smoked paprika. Others select the charred octopus, griledl Basque sausage and delightful Jamon Serrano Croquettes.

Those sitting near the exhibition kitchen will enjoy an interactive dining experience watching the chefs prepare European Sea Bass with butter Marcona almonds and preserved lemon. Fresh fish is filleted and deboned. Micro greens and flowers are sprinkled on top providing a pop for color.

Other meat and seafood items on the menu include Rack of Lamb, 20 oz Prime Bone-in Ribeye and an Iberico Pork Chop with a Sherry Gastrique.

Be sure to look over the dessert menu at the end of your meal. Their signature dessert is a light and caramelized until it is almost burnt Basque Cheesecake. They also make a Spanish Olive Oil Cake with a honey and lemon brown butter sauce and Chocolate Flan with orange caramel and dehydrated blood orange.

Top of the V is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. Reservations can be made through their website or by calling the restaurant directly.
