A lifelong bachelor, Johnny Grant, the honorary Mayor of Hollywood, lived in a penthouse on the 14th floor of the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel. He was best- known for being the Master of Ceremony awarding celebrities stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He also had his own booth at the hotel’s lively restaurant, 25 Degrees.
Grant sat in the back of the restaurant in a burgundy colored booth with red velvet flocked wallpaper. There is a plaque above his booth, honoring Mr. Grant, in this 60-seat restaurant filled with locals and tourists.
