While enjoying lunch at Tanzy Westwood and watching the movie 20th Century Fox movie – JOY starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, I sat next to one of the most beautiful and recognizable faces on Spanish television – Emmy-award winning broadcast journalist Myrka Dellanos.

She excitedly shared with me that she loved the movie and could relate with the main character, Joy. Years ago, she launched a fashion jewelry line – Myrka Dellanos Jewelry Collection. She loves design, fashion and good skin care. Her jewelry design was inspired by her international lifestyle and fashion sense. It debuted on HSN and HSN.com, just like Joy Mangano in the movie. “Every woman can see herself in the movie,” shared Dellanos.

In March 2015, this beautiful Cuban American woman launched a skin care line while working with physicians in a lab. She believes women should not have to spend $200 for a serum for their face. “Since we are given one skin, we need to preserve it, and nuture it, to look our very best year after year,” believes Dellanos. She invested her own money into this skin care product line. At times she had doubts of “What if it fails?” Even when times were difficult, she worked hard and she refused to quit.

Her skin care line uses as little preservatives as possible. “With organic ingredients, products can start smelling a little offensive,” Dellanos told me. Her products are Paraben free and she has 8 more products to launch in 2016.

Her myamor skin care line features an organic rejuvenation retinol serum and an organic rejuvenation eye gel. Both are cruelty-free beauty products. The serum contains Retinol, vitamin C and E, tea-tree oil, grapeseed oil and moisturizers to prevent free radicals from attacking your skin. These ingredients increase collagen production.

Retinol is known to fight acne, unclog pores, repair sun damaged skin and strengthen aging skin.

Dellanos motivates women to follow their dreams. She urges women to encourage other women in their circle to rise and help others. “A true entrepreneur is one who builds something they are passionate about. They want to build their own brand,” said Dellanos. “No matter what age, follow your dream, because age has no boundaries.”
