This year’s Longines Masters Los Angeles is in a new location. It’s set in Long Beach at the Convention Center next to a sandy beach and grassy park. The horses and their riders have views of the historic Queen Mary and Carnival Cruise ships docked in the harbor.

This year the event begins today, September 29 to October 2, 2016 with the American leg of the Grand Slam Indoor of Show Jumping. It’s the first of three worldwide tours. Longines Masters Paris is December 1-4, 2016 at Paris Nord Villepinte and Longines Masters Hong Kong is February 10-12, 2017 at Asia World-Expo.

What is Longines? It’s watchmaking expertise based in Saint-Imier, Switzerland since 1832. The watches are all about tradition, elegance and performance, operating in more than 150 countries. Longines has forged solid relationships with the sports world, especially world-class horse indoor horse jumping.

This year Team USA Silver Medalists Lucy Davis and Kent Farrington will be warmly welcomed after their victory at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Other familiar faces from the Rio games, include Team France gold medalist Kevin Staut, Pénélope Leprevost and Roger-Yves Bost, Canada individual bronze medalist Eric Lamaze and Team Germany bronze medalists, current world number 1 Christian Ahlmann, Daniel Deusser, and Meredith Michaels Beerbaum. French superstar, World Number 2 and fellow 2016 Olympian Simon Delestre.

The Show – During the four days in Los Angeles, guests have the chance to experience exhilarating, world-class show jumping competitions. There are 675 horses and 15 ponies, and 350 riders from 25 different nationalities. Over 110,000 visitors will enjoy the elegant festivities.

Food – At the 350 VIP tables and the Master Club, the Michelin 2-star chef Belgian celebrity chef Yves Mattagne, and 3 sous chefs, plus 10 cooks will prepare an elegant multi-course meal. Over 15,000 bottles of champagne will be poured. while enjoying an elegant feast prepared by for the senses through art, food, culture, and entertainment, that celebrate the glamorous Los Angeles lifestyle.

Family Friendly – It’s a fun weekend outing for family or friends with the Kid’s Corner providing educational and fun activities to enlighten them about the world of show jumping.
