“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” especially for people living in Glendale and See’s Candies. After the See’s Candies closed at the Glendale Galleria in April 2017, the closest See’s Candies location was in La Canada Flintridge. Then on one sunny day, Dec. 1, 2017, Patty Dugan the District Sales Manager at See’s Candies welcomed a crowd of more than 100 See’s Candies fans at the Grand Opening of the new Glendale location at the Americana at Brand, two doors down from Nordstrom and Barnes and Noble.

As the line of people patiently waited along the festively decorated streets at Americana at Brand, See’s Candies staff members handed out complimentary See’s Candies tote bags, samples of See’s chocolates and See’s Lollypops.

“Seven months ago we closed at our old location in Glendale,” Dugan said. “Here today we are in a bigger and better location at the most festive Americana at Brand.”

Dugan introduced a few Glendale dignitaries to help with the ribbon cutting ceremony and opening of the newest See’s store. Mayor Vartan Gharpetian cut the ribbon, while City Attorney  Mike Garcia enthusiastically told the crowd – “I’m here to support the best chocolate and candy shop, in the best mall, in the best city in all of California.” The crowd broke out into a loud applause.

Walking inside the new 1,428-square-foot storefront, there is a candy counter and self-serve area for customers. With the holidays approaching, the store was filled with Christmas and holiday decorated boxes.

Since 1921, See’s Candies has been dedicated to making chocolates and candy Mary See’s way. At Mary’s insistence, only the finest, freshest ingredients are used in her recipes, to make over 100 different chocolates and candies, from decadent truffles to crunchy peanut brittle.
