My daughter Kate was so excited when a box from The Cake Monkey Bakery team arrived on our doorstep.
Inside were three containers, two sprinkle packages and a nest of cupcake baking cups surrounded in pink confetti crinkle packing papers.
Also inside was an easy to follow instructional sheet on how to make delicious “No Fuss” chocolate cupcakes. Helpful tips on the enclosed sheet include:
- If frozen, thaw for 3 hours
- If frosting is too hard to work with, microwave for 5 seconds at a time and stir
- Ingredients: wheat flour, cocoa powder, eggs, buttermilk, cane sugar, butter, baking soda, powdered sugar, kosher salt, citric acid, and vanilla extract.
It’s “No-Fuss” because one container had pre-made, ready-to-bake chocolate batter. This is ideal for kids to make together, with dad or with mom.
First preheat the oven to 325 degrees, and place the 12 brown cupcake liners into a cupcake baking pan. Pour the batter into each cup and place into the oven. It’s that easy, and a lot less cleanup.
Kate baked these for 10 minutes, then rotated the tray 180 degrees and continued baking for another 12 minutes, for a total baking time of about 22 minutes before taking them out.
While waiting for them to cool, she put the pre-made pink frosting in a piping bag with a tip. Once cool, she frosted each cupcake with the pre-made vanilla frosting and started decorating. She rolled the white and rainbow sprinkles on top to enhanced each cupcake.
