Trücup coffee for the holidays

Receiving a box of  trücup coffees, I was eager to make a pot and sip a cup to see if this low acid coffee had the same aroma, flavor and caffeine. I drink at least two cups a day to help me feel less tired and increase my energy levels to go on my 3-mile morning walk. It tasted smooth, was flavorful and gave me a zip in my step with its kick of caffeine.

The creators of trücup coffee are clever. They use a natural process in removing acids that can be harmful to my stomach.

Acid is measured on a scale of 0-14. The higher the pH in a solution, the lower acidic. Less than 7 is considered “acidic” and those with a pH level of greater than 7 are considered “basic.” Water sits in the middle with a score of 7 and is considered neutral, neither acidic nor basic. Trü is an ideal low-acid option for coffee lovers with sensitive stomachs who suffer from GERD or heartburn.

The inspiration for the names of each of the different roasts is after classic rock songs. Coffee that rocks, such as Born To Be Mild  is the gentlest of low-acid coffee. This light roast was named after “Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf, and offers a delicate sweetness and enough body for balance. Other names include Heart Of Bold, named after the song “Heart of Gold” by Neil Young. Heart of Bold is a full-body, low-acid coffee blend packed with flavor.

Order a couple different coffees for holiday gifts and shipping is FREE on orders over $35.
