Recently I received information to try a new type of hybrid, custom made Pluto Pillow. I learned it’s the first luxury custom pillow that is constructed to your specific body and sleep positions. On the website, Pluto Pillow had me complete a questionnaire about myself, my sleeping habits and my pillow preference, then it took my data and ran it through an algorithm to generate a patent-pending process crafting the perfect pillow for me.

The hybrid design is constructed with a foam inner core and an outer plush pillow, both unique to my individual profile. The Pluto Pillow is a thoughtful pillow.
To order a customized pillow, go online and take a short questionnaire. First type in your name and age, next your height and weight, then your email to alert you about when your Pluto Pillow is constructed, finished and shipped to your home. They promise to never spam or give your email address to a third party.

Next is a questionnaire on how I would like my pillow constructed. They asked me to click on latex, foam, fill (like plush) or I don’t know. Next, they ask to click on a sliding scale of how I like my pillow from super soft, medium to hard as a rock. Then I clicked on the height of my pillow preference from 0-3 inches up to 5+ inches.
They build pillows using CertiPUR-US certified foams. These foams are made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP, or TCEP flame retardants, mercury, lead or other heavy metals, formaldehyde, and phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. They are also low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).

One more area to complete is preferences. They asked if my head gets hot when sleeping? What position do I settle into when I go to bed? and if I sleep on my back, stomach or side? and what position do I find myself in when I wake up?
Then I got to choose if I prefer a plushy and melt-in pillow or a settled and supportive pillow. Last is an optional area to write in anything else I would like the Pluto Pillow builders to know about me.
Once you complete the questionnaire, your data runs through an algorithm that generates the best variation to create a pillow for your unique sleep profile.

When my pillow arrived, it came with a Airhead candy and a thank you card for purchasing Pluto Pillow.
The cost of a custom pillow is $95 for a standard size pillow, and $115 for king size. Pluto Pillow believes that you should try your new pillow in the comfort of your home for 100 nights. If within those 100 nights, you decide the pillow isn’t for you, they willl help you process your return and get a full refund. This policy ensures a better night’s sleep.
