Founded in 1882, Korbel California Champagne is celebrating their 140th anniversary. Located in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, they have a great party idea of New Year’s Eve.
Celebrate with family and friends toasting goodbye to 2022 with bottles of Korbel and Lindt chocolates. Korbel offers bottles of celebratory Korbel Brut, Brut Rosé, and Prosecco, and also eye-catching mini 187ml bottles. Purchase both and give each guest a mini bottle as a party favor to open at midnight. Have bowls of Lindt chocolates and Lindor truffles on hand for a fun tasting party.
Korbel curated the following chocolate pairings with their three popular varietals as a tasting guide to follow or create your own sensory sensation.
Korbel Brut offers effervescent aromas of citrus and cinnamon leading to crisp flavors of orange, lime, vanilla and a hint of strawberry. Besides pairing well decadent caviar, shellfish, crispy fried chicken and salty nuts, Brut goes well with Lindt Orange Milk Chocolate, 70% Extra Dark Chocolate, Mint Milk Chocolate, and Snickerdoodle Truffle.
Besides serving Korbel Prosecco with canapés, prosciutto and melon, artisan cheese and grilled vegetables, the tangy bubbles go well with Coconut Chocolate, Sea Salt Milk Chocolate, Mangoes and Cream White Chocolate, and Peppermint White Chocolate.
Slightly sweet Korbel Brut Rosé offering notes of melon, cherry and strawberry pairs well shrimp cocktail, grilled scallops, and a beet and feta salad. For a chocolate pairing try with Dulce de Leche Milk Chocolate, Stracciatella White Chocolate, Strawberries and Cream White Chocolate, and Fudge Swirl Chocolate.
Serving Korbel bubbly and chocolates on New Years Eve is the perfect toast to a sweet new year.
