December in Los Angeles can be sunny during the holidays. For those seeking a winter experience, head downtown to L.A. LIVE to ice skate under the stars at the largest outdoor ice rink in Los Angeles. Centered around a 66 foot illuminated tree, the rink is the epicenter of L.A. LIVE’s holiday spirit. It’s open now through New Year’s Eve-December 31, 2015.
If you just want to skate, it costs $17 for general admission and skate rental. Kids ages 6 and under -$12, and Military and Seniors (with ID) pay $10. If you want to go straight up to the front of the line as a VIP, it’s $30 per skater.
Here is the best deal – Make a night of it with the Supper & Skate promotion. Enjoy a pre-fixed menu at select L.A. LIVE restaurants, afterwards go right up to the VIP front of the line access with rink admission, and skate rental for $30-$35.
After dinner and skating, be sure to walk around the festively lit L.A. LIVE to see the 50 ten-foot angels and snowfall LED lights cover 150 trees.
