Marriott International partners American Express and JP Morgan Chase have allocated $10 million worth of Marriott rooms to frontline healthcare doctors and nurses. Their new ‘Rooms for Responders’ program offers medical professionals who are members of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Emergency Nurse Association, a free Marriott room. These rooms are available in some of the most impacted cities with COVID-19, including Chicago, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York City, Newark, NJ and Washington, D.C.
For healthcare workers not associated with these medical organizations, Marriott International offers a Community Caregiver Program offering safe, clean and comfortable Marriott hotel rooms. Caregivers can shower, sleep and isolate themselves from their family and loved ones to protect them. These room nights are available at a reduced rate to healthcare workers, regardless of their association affiliation. This special is available in the United States, Canada, theCaribbean, and Latin America.
Many of the Marriott properties have their culinary staff preparing, pre-packaging and donating cooked meals and critically important supplies, such as the hotel’s cleaning products, masks, gloves, anti-microbial wipes, sanitizers and shower caps for medical and other frontline workers.
